To Whom It May Concern, I have been suffering for many years from poor sleep and my wife has had to put up with my snoring for longer than I care to remember, or her for that matter. Recently I had the opportunity through Sleepworks Medical to try a mandibular appliance in the hopes of improving or curing both of these frustrating and exhaustive conditions. This was painless, unobtrusive and simple. From this data gathered, SleepWorks Medical was able to determine that indeed I was a good candidate for this mandibular appliance. They referred me to one of their dentists. It was obvious to me right away that the dentist has been practicing dentistry for many years. He made me feel completely at ease, explaining every aspect of the process in language I could understand. After getting “fitted” for the device, I came back a short time later once it had been manufactured to have the final fitting to ensure the appliance would work optimally. My experience with SleepWorks Medical was extremely positive and I would highly recommend anyone with any sleep issues get assessed by SleepWorks Medical.

The staff at SleepWorks Medical is truly amazing. I had been tested for sleep apnea and was told that I have moderate sleep apnea and that I need a CPAP machine. My doctor referred me to SleepWorks Medical for a second opinion. I was impressed by the raving recommendation my doctor gave them. My doctor’s office faxed them a referral. I couldn’t believe it, I was called that same day and was greeted by a lovely lady who scheduled a late appointment, which impressed me as I know they were staying late. I met with Larry Bloom who started out by letting me know that my first appointment was an educational session only and that we would be reviewing my current situation to determine the best course of treatment. After a lengthy discussion Mr. Bloom was concerned with a few of my answers and I informed him that I had performed a level 3 sleep test. Mr. Bloom requested that I perform a level 2 Sleep Test as he wanted more information before we start CPAP treatment. I was reluctant but after being explained the difference between the two tests, It was a no brainer. Which I did in the comfort of my own bed. I am so glad I did as my sleep study showed mild body positional sleep apnea. I could not believe how detailed the sleep study was. Mr. Bloom worked with my insurance company and had them cover an Oral appliance / Mandibular Repositioning Device. The very first night I used the appliance my snoring was gone. I have never slept better and my wife and I are finally sharing the same bed again. I can’t thank everyone enough at SleepWorks Medical for caring so much and for going beyond the call for me. My advice to anyone is to request a level 2 sleep test and call SleepWorks Medical.

Snoring has become one of those life long jokes amongst people until you are the one suffering from a snorer beside you. If you have to ever leave your bedroom to get some sleep away from a snorer than this machine will save your snorer’s life and your marriage. It’s not a joke. My husband would snore so badly the room would shake. I was cranky and unable to function without sleep so I’d have to leave and sleep downstairs. He finally gave in and went to get checked with William Chen at Sleepworks on Lougheed Hwy and honestly…so many things have changed in our daily lives. My husband sleeps through the night and not thru the day; his blood pressure has gone down 30 points; he is rested and his medical tests all have improved. I am getting sleep and we are all happy once again. So deal with the few days it takes to get used to the machine bc it will save your life too. Snoring is no joke. It is a medical condition. Now we want a travel size one to go on trips with so everyone can sleep on holidays with him. It is NOT noisy…if you get fitted properly and do what you are shown by the therapist it is the best treatment ever. I call it our miracle machine. I need to share this will others, as I’m sure many have had a similar experience. I have been a long time CPAP user. When I purchased my initial CPAP the facility who sold it to me never once explained why follow ups are so important. Hence in 5 years I never had one. I purchased supplies online as it was cheaper. My doctor referred me to SleepWorks Medical where I met Larry Bloom. I explained that I will probably purchase the CPAP from my initial supplier as they were less expensive and I don’t have insurance. Larry told me to leave my wallet at home and to come in for a short visits as the referring doctor was a good friend of his and he wanted to ensure that I had all the info necessary to purchase the right CPAP for me. Reluctantly I agreed. I went to see Larry and took in my old machine; call it a test to see if he actually knew what he was talking about. Larry uploaded the info from my CPAP and began explaining why follow ups are so important. I was amazed he pointed things out from the data which were bang on. Why I was waking, why I was still snoring and made changes to my CPAP. Larry then emailed me links to the CPAP he recommended as well as websites where to purchase. I went home and used my CPAP with the changes and let me tell you I felt the difference the very next day. A week later Larry called me to follow up to ensure the changes were helping. Never once did he ask or offer to sell me anything. The reason why I am telling everyone is that its not often when you meet someone who truly cares about your wellbeing. Larry Bloom is that person. I would spend 10 times more, since I chose to work with Larry follow-ups are consistent, the subtle changes he makes to my CPAP really helps. I just want to thank Larry Bloom for everything and let him know how truly grateful I am.

I was having difficulty with extreme fatigue and my family were complaining that I snored and seem to struggle to breathe at night. My doctor referred me to Sleepworks for an assessment. An overnight oximetry test showed that I was obstructing my airway during sleep and causing me to wake numerous times. I required a CPAP machine In working with William I feel his empathy and understanding is genuine. He provides the right combination of support and information without being intrusive. He is willing to work with clients until the equipment used is perfectly fitted, and as comfortable as possible. He explains the use, care, cleaning of the machine and at our follow up visits he reviews the data obtained from the Cpap microchip to assess my response to the machine. From the initial appointment, continuing with equipment maintenance and treatment support, I have always felt professionally cared for.
